A first class honours graduate from the London School of Economics and Political Science, Julian started off as a broadcast journalist for the Television Corporation of Singapore in 1996; producing daily business news reports and a weekly financial current affairs programme. He was the lead reporter for the economics beat and covered international events like the IMF/World Bank meetings, WTO Ministerial Conference, ASEAN finance ministers meeting and Asia-Europe Economic Ministers (ASEM) meeting. He was also sent to cover the economic crisis in Jakarta in 1998, witnessing first-hand street protests which precipitated the fall of the Suharto government.
He then moved to key positions in media sales, operations and business development.
When the Singapore Government liberalised the media industry and approved broadcasting licences for Singapore Press Holdings, the Group selected Julian to be part of a pioneer team which set up two TV channels for SPH in 2000. He was appointed Vice President, Business Planning and Operations.
Subsequently, he joined SPH’s Corporate Development Division and was instrumental in several acquisitions by the Group. These included MediaBoxOffice and Hardwarezone.
Over the last few years, he has played a pivotal role in developing strategies and business plans for SPH’s push into the internet and mobile worlds. Before his appointment with 701Search, Julian was the Chief Operating Officer of SPH Search Pte Ltd and he helped to build up from scratch rednano, Singapore’s local search and directory engine.
Julian also recently attained a Dual Degree Executive Masters of Business Administration (EMBA) from two top business schools – INSEAD and Tsinghua University in China.

Gaurav’s passion for architecting new monetization models in the digital/hybrid space, cognitive sciences and building brands led him to join the leadership team of 701 Search in July 2010. Here he is responsible for the conceptualizing and implementing the marketing & monetization strategy of the group across the region.
During his 15year career he has spent almost equal time in India, Malaysia & Singapore at JWT, MindShare and Universal McCann handling roles that span strategic planning, regional/local media management, country leadership and incubating new business models. Winner of various creativity & effectiveness awards he is credited with nurturing a culture of innovation & curiosity wherever he has worked.
Gaurav has accumulated rich experience of working across a gamut of diverse product categories & clients in APAC…Nestle, J&J, Coca-Cola, Gillette, DiGi, Motorola, Intel, Mastercard, Lufthansa and Swatch Group being some of them.

Bryan has more than 15 years of experience in the e-Business and Information Technologies Industries, where he held various positions in Strategies & Corporate Planning, Business Development, Project Management, Sales and Engineering.
Prior to joining 701Search Pte Ltd, Bryan implemented and managed mission-critical e-Business systems, such as an Internet Stock Trading system and Online Casino system.
Bryan graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science (Computer Technologies) degree from the Nanyang Technological University (Singapore), and went on to obtain a Master of Business Administration(MBA) from the University of Cambridge (United Kingdom).

Sam is a Master degree holder and Certified IT Project Manager with over 18 years of development experience on Internet and e-Commerce industries.
When Internet was still in its infancy, Sam was conducting speeches and setting the Singapore Government's internet directions for Small and Media Enterprise. He later went on to manage IBM ASEAN/SA e-Business strategy before leaving to join a dotcom company as their Chief Technology Officer.
Prior to joining 701Search Pte Ltd, Sam worked in Citi and OCBC Bank, managing and setting their Internet and Mobile Banking e-Commerce platforms strategies.

General Manager, 701Search, Inc (Philippines)
Jon has been involved in the Philippine telecommunications industry for over 10 years where has held various positions in Business Development, Marketing and Product Development & Management.
Prior to joining 701 Search, Inc., Jon orchestrated a partnership between ABS-CBN and Bayan Telecommunications to launch a massive multiplayer online gaming venture. He also drove the development and implementation of a nationwide school campaign for one of the leading mobile communications companies in the Philippines.
Jon is a graduate of the Ateneo de Manila University with a bachelor’s degree in Business Management.

Director, PT 701Search (Indonesia)
Jullian (a.k.a Jay) received his Bachelor in International Business from San Jose State University in United States. He worked for a short while in the States for various individuals in the heyday of Internet in the San Francisco Bay Area.
After returning back to Indonesia at the turn of the millennium, he were involved in his family business building an Internet portal and then to various Internet companies, mostly connected to the telecommunication industry. He is also active with the Indonesian Open Source community.
Prior to joining 701 Search, Jullian worked for an online gaming company in Malaysia and also as IT Development Head in an Indonesian software house specializing in enterprise software such as ERP.

General Manager, 701Search (Australia) Pty Ltd
Morten has recently made Australia his home while launching the latest of the 701Search classified sites, dinkos.com.au. Morten made the move from Singapore where he has been based since 2003 and has managed projects in most countries in the Asia Pacific region. Initially a consultant for Arthur Andersen and Ernst & Young, Morten has honed his analytical and problem solving skills with several world class companies in a wide range of industries. He went on to play a key role in the establishment of 701Search in 2006.
A keen observer of internet trends and technologies, Morten has a special interest for online marketing and the changing business models for media companies.
Morten has a Masters degree from the Norwegian University of Science and Technology.
